First I went and got my hair did by my girl Chrissi...SHOUT OUT! We chatted for a bit about New York and really talking to people about one's talents...selling yourself basically. Gettin' in is a must while being in NYC! After that I was on my way to Church...one of my fav places to be in the world! It was such a good service. The sermon was entitled "Make Room" whether it be for God, spouse, family, education, or whatever you want improvement in.
Next, it was time for AFRO PUNK! I was stoked because this was my first official Brooklyn event. Afro Punk is essentially a chance for Black/Latinos to show what they have in the BMX/Skateboard arena. It was a lovely site, seeing all of these people of color that was into such a hobby. There was a contest, free skate and some pro BMXers doing their thang on the ramps. You will get a better idea of what my eyes laid upon below:
People from all over NYC come to this event...well the kool people anyway....yes believe or not I'm sort of kool! To say the least it was LIVE! There were beautiful people, music, and art. Another dope aspect of AFRO PUNK was the the live art, there were so many styles of artist contributing to the mural during the three day event. Of course I documented it so your lovely eyes can feast at these impeccable works of art!

Lastly.....GREAT MUSIC! Cool Kids, K-OS, Kid Cudi, & Mos Def performed and ya'll already know how it went down! The music was dope. Cool Kids performed some old and many of their new joints of their mixtape Talkebox<---Download here! Kid Cudi also graced the stage with some of his quirky dance moves during their set. K-OS performed some of his songs, sad to say folks are sleeping on him...WAKE UP!!! Look him up he has somethings to say! Mos Def, Mighty Mos, Dante, Blackstarr, whatever it is you want to call him. He was the one everybody was waiting for including...ME! Of course he served up a hot serving of tasty songs from his album Ecstatic and some old classics as well. Well enough of me, take a look...
